We stopped briefly at Window Rock and then drove to the Hubble Trading Post where luca found the most amazing Navajo rug.

We are in Flafstaff tonight, Lowell Observatory in the morning and then home.

The El Rancho

We had lunch at the historic El Rancho Hotel in Gallup, New Mexico. It was once a magnet for Hollywood stars! Now they serve burgers named after movie stars. I had the W.C. Fields; a burger with green chile sauce and Kraft American cheese.

Elevation 10,378 ft. It's the longest tram on the world.

We spent the day in Las Vegas... New Mexico!

It's an interesting town with much of it
looking much as it did many years ago. Next to the Amtrack station there is an old Harvey rairoad hotel. It's not open, but it still stands.
