My first post here was on December 9, 2001.
You can find the first post in the list, if you'd like to look at it.
So now I begin my fifth year of this journal. I find it hard to believe that I have continued this for this long!
I've told lots of stories over the years and included a lot of pictures. A few of you have made comments here and there but not that many of you. Still, I know that quite a few people read this...
I used to worry about how many people read my journal, but after a while I got over that; I know that the people who I like read it and that's enough. The most important thing for me, personally, is that I keep doing it. This is my thing and I am proud of it.

It's not just your fifth year, it's your fifth EXCELLENT year. Even though it is a personal journal, I have never gotten the feeling that it is an egocentric one. Never dull. Never bland. Always thoughtful. Thank you for the good reads and congratulations!
oh yes, your entries are as clear as any, a portrait of your wonderfully lucid mind. it was a good day five years ago when first you set pen to pap....um...approached the keyboard purposefully.
it is something one wonders, out of the corner of the heart's eye, how many readers come and go, but ultimately one just writes, eh.
or four ;-)

Thanks Regality! And to you also, khan! It's true, ultimately I just write. Many, many more people read it, than make comments.
you have more followers than you know. peeps are talkin' abt you everywhere. & it's all good.
Yes, as past president of the Southern Hemisphere Durlx Club, we'd like to thank you for your continued efforts. We all enjoy your blog at our weekly meetings, which also feature a sub-group devoted to S. Epatha Merkeson of Law and Order fame (the black police detective lieutenant). Keep up the good work. We've all voted, and think Nevada is the best choice for you. Thank you.
