Mea Culpa...

That means I Love You! Well, actually it means forgive me...

The day after Mardi Gras, I had a job interview... didn't get that job, but it was a good interview and a VP sat in on it. Then I had the flu for a few days. Then I did another interview for another job and the other VP sat in on that one. I just missed getting that one. Had to bite down on the disapointment, hey, I go all out for each one, and then get ready for another interview in just 36 hours... it was a rather stressful 10 days.

I survived, and I ended up with a very good job. After 60 days of uncertainty, I am so glad to finally know what my goals are and to know where I am going. I am staying in New Orleans; and that's not such a bad thing... especially when you have more cash.

So... back to Mardi Gras!

Here are the pics.....

Mardi Gras morning.... Tommy, Robert and Zilla...

It was great, my usual suspects for MG Day... Richard, George and Robert...

In the old days we vould have taken pict-chas of the strippas, but now a days that's not allowed... still some bois are pretty enough, this from the balcony at Lafitte's...

...and the lil' boi with the cute tie...

We had a fabulous time all Mardi Gras day... here's a pic of Robert and Zilla on the balcony at Lafitte's...

Well, since I had the job interview the next day, I turned in early, by seven... it was such a bitch to have to go home early!

On the way home...

...we did, at least get to see the fabulous Curry once again...

...have I told you the story about Curry....

Now ... Robert stayed out for a bit and he took Zilla, aka David, out for a few more drinky-poos as well. At one point in these later eveing hours in a bar not all that far from our hood, Robert decides that he should go home and that he should ride on our other neighbor's scooter on the way. Apparently there is a god or a goddess; they both arrived in front of Robert's house without injury. Robert stepped off the scooter and then somehow plunged into the gutter, injuring his thumb in the process. Fortunately, that was his only injury after riding with Raymond on a scooter. I mean, as he was showing me his black and blue thumb, I was thinking he was lucky to be alive... hehe!

Oh Yea....

...and Zilla, well he finally shows up the next morning about 8 AM all aglow...

I love when my house guests get a lil somethin... I'm thinkin' "hey, they'll be back...

I am nothing, if not the consumate host, eiieeee....hee. hee...

So after all, I am not going to be traveling as much for work as I might have thought, but I did get a really amazing job here in New Orleans and with the company I truly love to work for. And I'll still get some travel, enough... it's all good.

One last bit...

Last Night I watched the DVD of "Brother Where Art Thou?" If you haven't seen it, I so recommend it! It's a beautiful film with amazing music and I am in love with the guy who plays the part of "Delmar" in the film...

durlx..............
