Pre - Halloween!

Every year about this time I go to a pre-Halloween party. It's unusual in that it's out in the 'burbs and no one wears costumes. About two hundred people show up for this party at this house that these two guys own near a big highschool right off of I-10, in fact we park in the H.S. parking lot. We walk a block from the lot and down a street that is so very " Sub-Urban Developement Lane", and each house is entirely decorated for Halloween. But one of the houses is owned by two gay guys... and that's the one we all go to.

There's never been a problem.

This year, I went with...

Michelle, AKA Extreme Levine!

and Robert!

Now, Robert and I have been to this party many times...

...in fact I've covered last years party in last years journal.

And some of you asked about that pic of the boy on the wall in the bathroom. Like who was the artist and who was the boy... Well, our host tonight confirmed that he was the boy so many years ago, and the artist...

I dunno, can you read that...? I couldn't.

Princess Stephanie was there!

Of course she's always everywhere... although she hinted that it's taking a toll on her life; she's had to relinquish five drag and leather titles in the last few months... I asked her if she just couldn't cash in five Princess titles for just one Queen title... and she laughed a princess-like/truck-driver laugh and said "Darlin' I don't know if I have the strength!" You know, she's just so amusing, I love her!

As it always happens at this party, after a while, the bartenders magically become exotic dancers!

Suddenly everything got so crowded in the front room... and I ended up in the back room with the notorious Phyllis Denmark, the extremely cosmopolitan ad rep from Ambush Magazine! She's a brilliant conversationalist, I learned sooo much during our chat...

But then it was time to leave... but where was Michelle?

Hahahaha!

O.K. This guy was cute and short. She is forgiven. and he is sooo gay! hehe! shusss, don't say a word!

On our way out the door, we ran into Liza Minelli!

Bwahahahaha!

O.K. Who wouldn't look like that after several months of being married to David Gest!

Bits.
Nice to hear from our dear Ford.
And Noah. Noah! The boy rises up!
Ireland in the spring.
We will see Ford then! yea!!!
Cold Play...
I-Tunes for Windoze, well it's O.K so far; 99 cents a song.
Best new CD. The Best of Bonnie Raitt... (and that's no doubt.)
Cheap thrill, Robbie Williams.. "Something Beautiful"
Best new blue cheese dip: Point Reyes!!! This is the best....!!!!

Well, that's enough.

Yaahoooo! Vacation!

Ah, I took seven days off from work... after fifteen months... can't really complain, I've mostly enjoyed my work time, but it's time to take time...

I've got to do better at this time off thing, and I will.

So, I flew to Boston...

Logan Airport was a mess as always, but this time it wasn't too bad for me, and I was able to meet my brother and my niece and leave for the south shore in a reasonable amount of time. But on our way we did stop for a late lunch at The B and D deli in Brighton; this is the kind of Boston Jewish deli that makes me wish that I lived there! There were ten things on the menu that I wanted to order, but I settled for a Rueben. And It was the best Rueben that I had had since the last time that I was there! This sort of thing is just not done here well in New Orleans.

But then... they can't do Cajun or Creole in Boston... not even close, hehe.

We spent the night at my brother's house, south of Boston...

...got up the next morning and went to Emma's dance class and then started for P-town. Got there in short order and met my sister and her lover, and my Dad. We all checked into our various accomodations and then had a delivered dinner at the condo that Karen and Chris were staying in. The next morning we drove into P-Town for brunch at the Red Inn.

Chris and Karen..

after lunch on the deck...

We spent some lovely time shopping in quaint Provincetown...

So many lovely shops, hehehehe!

..and saw this stone remain of the original Provincetown Theater...

Oh, and I should mention... that...

...it was also a Leather Weekend! Bwahahahaha!

So, there I was with my 75 year old Dad and my 3.5 year old neice and 200+ leather guys... it wasn't really a problem, I mean, I am so out with my family. It was just a lil' wierd for my family to see a man my Dad's age on the street with leather pants with the ass cut out... (we were just getting coffee at the coffee place after dinner! It's not like we were in The Crown and Anchor!) It was most amusing...

We also spent some time on the dunes, the national seashore is so beautiful!

There are more pics, but no more room, wouldn't want you to spend any more time on the download. I'll try to put up a new gallery with all the pics on it's own.

Other Bits...

My work life takes up a lot of time... but it's working out very well.

I still love my scooter!

I talked to luca tonight... I love this man...

So, who is coming to visit? I need some excuse to clean up this charming lil' dump...
