It's about time!
It's been over two weeks!
So here's the story....
I had a fabulous time in San Fransisco! It was a cheese orgy!
The foodies I met there were the smartest I have ever run into. It was incredible. Amazing!
Divine!
I came home to New Orleans on an incredible high.. sailed through a week of intense work and then...
just crashed.
I love my work; it's very good work, it amuses me and keeps me busy all the time. Except for last night. It was a Saturday night and I had to work Sunday morning... that's all right, just an evening at home... but suddenly, sitting here at home I was very, very depressed.
O.K., I was tired after a difficult day at work. I thought I might want to go out for a bit, but then I was so tired... I just didn't go out. I went to sleep early. What a mistake! My dear departed mother spoke to me in a dream, and my chilrun, this was a doozie! In the dream, we were sitting across from each other in a coffee shop and she said to me, "Your job is not all that, baby.." And I started crying, and that's how I woke up this ayem.
Shit, pussy and goddam! As we say here in the deep south, when ya dream about yer mama, yer gonna have some drama...
It wasn't a great day at work, but I got by, and got home... took a refreshing shower and...
...decided to go out to a bar. I haven't done that for a while. So, I walked around the corner to The Phoenix, thinking that almost no one would be there at 6:30 PM on a Sunday evening. I'd be able to sit and drink and think for an hour or so.
I was so wrong for that, hehe! Princess Stephanie was hosting a drag benefit for the battered women's shelter! My quiet evening at the bar was shattered.
And worst of all, the man who has worked my hair for the last 10 years was there...
Ken.
OMG!
Well, it's just like pouring gasoline on a fire! I mean, I love Ken; he's a brilliant man and so amusing... (it's just that he knows too many things in advance, he's a psychic... and you probably don't believe in psychics.... but then again, you probably don't know Ken.)
Well, his mother's house in Ohio had just burned down, but not the one she was currently living in...she's O.K. Then Ken told me what was wrong with my life and promptly introduced me to 3 nice guys, who were all somewhat bewildered by his introduction...
...and then Connie Marcel started her number...
...followed by Mis T.T.
I'm not even going to try to tell you about the rest of it; it was a typical strange sort of night at a neighborhood gay leather bar in New Orleans... wish you all had been there.
This seems to be what happens when I decide to go out for an evening!
I got home about 9 PM, (this was an early evening drag function...)
...and got on the phone with luca... talked about the Vegas move and such.. and then I checked into the FTB's chat and found many of the usual suspects there, but most of them were checking out...
..so I ended up on the phone with jazz. That was nice; we hadn't talked for a while. Jazz is such a sweetie! And work may send me to his area soon...
Behold! The Power Of Cheese!
bwahahahaha!
You never know where I might turn up next...
durlx, the mad
